The Soho dress is both feminine and easy to wear for any occasion. Its wrap shape is very flattering, and the clever belt doesn't cut into the waistline. Available as a dress or blouse, belted or buttoned, the choice of fabrics allows you to find the perfect garment for everyday wear or for going out and turning heads. 

Sewing level : intermediate , the technical points are sewing the front and back pleats, attaching the belts, and assembling the sleeve and cuff.

The Soho Boss grade from 34 to 52. The finished garment measurement chart is available in the product photos.

Supplies

- 60 cm of Vlieseline G785 type fusible interfacing for parts 4-7-10
- 50 cm of fusible interfacing for piece 1 (be careful not to stretch the neckline when applying)

- A 7mm snap button to stabilize the neckline
- 3 buttons for the version without visible buttons and 7 buttons for the version with visible buttons (diameter of 10-15 mm)
- Fabric for a width of 140 cm:
Blouse version The line drawn on your pattern gives you the finished length; add 3 cm to make the hem.
- 34-38: 150 cm
- 40-44: 170 cm
- 46-52: 190 cm
Dress version :
- 34-38: 230 cm
- 40-46: 280 cm
- 48-52: 305 cm

Opt for light to medium weight fabrics (80 to 200 g/m2) with a soft drape that will flatter the drape of the dress as well as the blouse, such as viscose twill, tencel, poplin, crepe, very fine wool.

A familiar story, just with…..less.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
