Stunning vintage Givenchy (by Hubert Givenchy) HAUTE COUTURE gown from the early to mid 1970s. This phenomenal piece of fashion history boats the most beautiful bodice - sheer beige mesh fully hand embellished with gorgeous three dimensional golden metal thread metallic fabric flowers, golden and white sequins, varying golden beading, crystals, and silk threaded leafing details that are absolutely jaw-dropping. Bodice is fully lined in matching beige sheer silk. Deep navy blue silk faille skirt bottom that has an exquisite slight structuring to it, and features a jacquard with both bold golden dots and faint golden stripes throughout. Matching pleated metal thread metallic golden fabric belt that snaps in, wraps around, and snaps closed. The entire piece and the interior, as you would expect in a Haute Couture piece, is completely hand stitched and hand finished. Zip closure at backside and additional snap closure at outer skirt layer. A museum level treasure.

Condition: Excellent condition, showing only the most minor/minimal signs of previous use/wear. Some dark marks at the inner side of the belt that are not noticeable when worn as they are on the inside. There may be a missing bead here or there, and if there is, this is nearly impossible to notice due to the abundance.
