Rumored's Portofino Maxi Dress in floral satin jacquard arrives like an heirloom piece. The kind your grandmother might have worn to a special occasion, only for you to discover it decades later and wonder how you ever lived without it. Crafted in 50% viscose and 50% rayon, this gown has that coveted broken-in feel of something vintage.

The lace collar with its velvet bow is the focal point that sets this '30s-inspired silhouette apart, while the cap sleeves and bias cut create a shape that feels both romantic and remarkably easy to wear. You'll reach for this dress for moments that demand something elevated. Those gatherings where everyone else is trying too hard and you're simply there, effortlessly present. At $208, this is contemporary premium, not fast fashion.

  • Materials: 50% Viscose, 50% Rayon floral satin jacquard
  • Construction/Fit: Lace collar with velvet bow, cap sleeve, bias cut, 53" dress body length
  • Fit: Model is wearing size XS
  • Care: Dry Clean Only
  • Price: $208

Style this with minimal jewelry; let the collar command the room and lean into formality with pointed-toe heels or soft ballet flats. Pair it with a simple clutch and dark lipstick for evening, or with a slouchy cardigan and sneakers for something more unexpected. The jacquard itself is statement enough.

An essential classic
Format: Paperback
The book has a scathing view of nobility and the upper class, with the regular people just a part of the scenery, so an allegory that has aged well and applies to modern times. I think it's an essential read to anyone who enjoys literature, as it can be argued that it's the genesis of many themes in modern stories.

Not bad, but still had flaws
Format: Paperback
While the novel was great in a way, I felt that it was outdated to me. It was written in the time that anti-heros were poorly made and if the creator of Reynard was aiming for Anti-hero when developing Reynard, he missed and hit sociopath instad. The pictures in the books are also outdated and laughable in our times. Reynard looks more like a shaved dog on the cover, I had a hard time identifying Noble the lion in his photos, ect. and the ending did`nt seem fullfilling though I felt a kick of excitment a few times.

Nice translation
Format: Paperback
It is not easy to translate poetry into poetry. It's bad enough simply trying to translate to prose. Ms. Terry does an excellent job. I read Le Roman de Renart in French while I was studying in France. Years later, I came across this translation. It is fascinating the way the original storytellers portrayed Renart. He is a completely hateful creature. Yet reading about him is fun. It's similar to how I feel about stories of Loki or Coyote. Renart is closer to Loki than to Coyote, despite the canine ancestry. He is more than simply a trickster: he is malevolent. If you have an interest in ancient folktales, you mustn't miss the story of Renart. This translation is different from any other I've read. The introduction gives a good perspective on the times when the stories were hatched.

Pretty good translation into English. Far from a complete collection, but certainly a good foundation.
