One of the most memorable 'Carrie - Mr Big' scenes in SATC history: Carrie tries to be 'friends' with Big only to find out he's got engaged to 'Najinsky' or whatever her name is. The scene is set at Eleven Madison Park in NYC and Carrie is wearing this 'to die for' pink dress that lives rent free in the minds of SATC fans everywhere.
The huge love for that dress is what inspired me to recreate it for you.
The dress is a faux wrap, midi length, cap sleeve and has a good amount of stretch. The dress has 'on body' appeal, so don't judge till you put it on and just see what it does to your shape! The attached ruched wrap is super flattering and hides those tummies and the ruching at the back gives your butt curves for days.
The fit is typically true to size but due to the stretch you could potentially size down for a more vava-voom silhouette. Do NOT size up in this dress as the attached peplum needs to stretch across the butt and stomach to achieve the perfect level of ruching.
Fabric: Poly Spandex 95% 5%
Size Measurements:
X-Small: Bust 34" 24" 35"
Small: 36" 26" 37"
Medium: 38" 28" 39"
Large: 40" 30" 41.5"
X-Large: 42" 32" 44.5"
There is no zip in the dress so to be as close as possible to the original, this means that it will feel a little snug as it goes over the head and shoulders - necessary to create the snatched waist. Please also ensure the attached peplum is around the front and back of the dress before you put on!
The pleats can be arranged however you like on the central band.
